2025 Australian Senior Memorial Cup Chinese Chess Xiangqi Tournament (19/04/2025)
The Australian Four Arts Chinese Scholar Association will host the Senior Memorial Cup Chinese Chess Xiangqi Tournament on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Auburn Club in Sydney. This will be part of the Australian National Chinese Chess Xiangqi Open. Chinese Chess Xiangqi enthusiasts in good health are welcome to register for the competition, with a limit of 64 players. First come, first served.

Grandmaster George Lu is a multiple-time Australian National Chinese Chess Xiangqi Champion and was a former runner-up in the Hong Kong Chinese Chess Xiangqi Championship before moving to Australia. He has spent decades promoting Chinese Chess Xiangqi in Australia, organizing classes for children and frequently participating in and hosting Chinese chess Xiangqi tournaments. He is also the president of the Australian Xiangqi Association and the Australian Four Arts Chinese Scholar Association, making significant contributions to the development of Chinese chess Xiangqi in Australia.
Weekly Chinese Chess Xiangqi Gathering
Grandmaster Lu invites all Chinese chess enthusiasts to join the Australian Xiangqi Association's weekly gathering for Chinese chess Xiangqi practice, held every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Eastwood Women’s Rest Centre, located across from the Eastwood Train Station. Chess lovers from all regions are welcome to participate.
